About
I have been working on multilingualism, foreign language acquisition and variationist linguistics in the German language areas. My PhD thesis on reading comprehension in German as a foreign language has just been published as a book (together with Elisabeth Peyer). I have also published a book about language attitudes in Austria towards the German spoken in Germany, within the framework of German as a pluricentric language. Some of my research deals with language variation between dialect and the standard language in Austria and Switzerland and with constructions and word combinations in German.
At the moment I am working in a larger research project on multilingualism across the lifespan.
